The Dennis Benzan Campaign will be a fun and fast-paced campaign experience with great networking opportunities! It’s a 10-week sprint to an April 13 finish line.
As a volunteer, you’ll meet and connect with a diverse group of people, but more importantly you'll help mobilize the Middlesex, Suffolk & Essex Senate District around the issues that matter most: jobs, education, the financial crisis and the environment!
How do you volunteer?

- Help us gather enough signatures to get on the ballot. The last day to submit signatures is March 2 at 5pm. Every campaign office needs help stuffing envelopes, making calls, putting up signs and blowing up balloons. The truth is every little bit counts and we appreciate you.
- Get the word out. It’s critical that we introduce Dennis to you, your family, and your community. We need help distributing campaign materials at shopping malls, neighborhood meetings, and parades. We need to get the word out. You can hold a house party or blast an email to all your friends. Every little bit counts.
- Do you like Facebook? Do you know people who live in the Middlesex, Suffolk and Essex Senate District? Do you change your Facebook status every day? Then join our "I support Dennis Benzan for State Senator" group and help us spread the good word! You can upload photos, tag your friends and tell other Facebook communities and encourage them to vote for Dennis Benzan on Tuesday, April 13!
- Always on the scene. Help us document events with picture, video and blogs. All you have to do is bring your camera and email your stuff to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . You'll be recognized in our “Thank You List” and everywhere else as we distribute campaign material.
- Get Out The Vote (GOTV). Now, this is the exciting stuff. Two weeks before the election we begin to change our focus to election day. Calling thousands of voters talking to them at length about why they should vote for Dennis Benzan, encouraging them to vote for him and getting them to saying “yes.” GOTV requires planning, coordination and execution. Bring your enthusiasm as we amass an army of friends to canvass neighborhoods and knock on voters’ doors. GOTV is not for the faint of heart. This is for the uber-volunteer. This is where it counts.
