¿Oíste? (501c4) is pleased to announce our endorsement for the Special Election for the Middlesex, Suffolk and Essex Senate District. There are six candidates running in the Democratic primary, all of whom show great potential. One of these candidates stood out from the rest and that candidate is Dennis Benzan, and we feel will be a tremendous voice for us in the senate.
Chelsea, MA | February 23, 2010 – Dennis Benzan, candidate for State Senate in the Middlesex, Suffolk & Essex district announced today the need for State leaders to aggressively confront the mortgage and housing crisis. Benzan believes that by working with the banking industry and consumer advocates, many more families will be able to stay in the current homes by expanding oversight of lending institutions and increasing federal programs to stabilize communities devastated by foreclosures, such as the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).
Cambridge, MA | February 9th, 2010 – Dennis Benzan, candidate for State Senate in the Middlesex, Suffolk & Essex district announced today the need for innovative legislation and policies to create jobs and protect the environment – green collar job creation strategies. Benzan believes that creating mandatory recycling and composting programs in conjunction with the janitors and teamsters union and their employers will create thousands of jobs throughout Massachusetts. Also, in the cold winter months, he stressed the need for supporting expanded weatherization programs in conjunction with the Laborers union.
